Dr. Cheung is a Sports Chiropractor, educated in functional movement and spinal health from the prestigious Palmer Chiropractic College in California. Dr. Jeff has a keen interest in movement based training and therapies. His mission is to share his knowledge and education on active lifestyles and personal healing. Doreen is a Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist with a keen interest in Sport. She obtained her qualification in 2010 from Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh, UK, on a Ministry of Health Scholarship.

Upon graduation, she worked at Changi General Hospital and found her specialisation in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy after doing a Postgraduate Diploma and Masters in Orthopaedic Manipulative Therapy in 2013.

She has a keen eye for viewing the patient holistically, considering all contributing factors and observing impairments arising from movement patterns. With her manual therapy techniques, she believes in first restoring range and movement, accompanied by training motor control to solidify the correction of mechanical impairments, for the ultimate aim of optimizing function and achieving maximum potential in physical activity and sport performance.

Doreen has provided services for a wide array of musculoskeletal conditions, from treating acute pain and injuries in the Emergency Department, to managing chronic pain in the clinic.

When encountering patients with chronic conditions, Doreen utilizes her Pilates training to elevate the function and alleviate symptoms and has conducted Pilates classes for chronic low back pain.

Within the sports setting, she has a vested interest in overhead sports and related shoulder conditions and has built a protocol and an upper limb, throwing class to rehabilitate overhead athletes back to their sport and is often the go-to person in the team for complex shoulder conditions.

In June 2015, Doreen provided her services to competing athletes at the SEA Games and later that year, organized Physiotherapy services at the ASEAN Para Games.

Shayne has been helping individuals with injuries, performance and weight management since 2009, with five years as an Exercise Physiologist (EP) in the Singapore Sports Medicine Centre (Changi). This has rendered her well-equipped with experience in dealing with the elderly, pre and post joint operation patients, athletes, as well as people with chronic diseases such as diabetes. This allowed her to hone her skills attained from her Bachelors and work experience in Auckland, New Zealand. On top of her clinical experience, Shayne has been the Deputy Director of Public Outreach and teaching committee with Exercise is Medicine Singapore (EIMS) since 2016. EIMS aims to educate physicians, allied health professionals and the general public both locally and internationally on the benefits of physical activity. Shayne’s role has allowed her to gain plenty of insight and also share her expertise with people from the likes of Australia, Japan and Taiwan at regional conferences and invited teaching sessions. She was also appointed the Team Lead to nurture her team of EPs, as well as nominated to be in committees to help improve workplace lifestyle and to train allied health professionals in major projects like SGenable. Shayne believes in enhancing the functional movement in people of all ages and fitness levels in order to improve their quality of life. Yuji Ishitsuka is from Fukuoka, Japan. He graduated with Bachelor of Arts in English Literature in Japan before he completed his pre-Chiro in Salt Lake CIty, Utah. He obtained his Doctor of Chiropractic (not medical doctor) in San Jose, California. He is also liscenced acupuncturist in Japan.

Yuji practices spinal adjusting, soft tissue and collective exercises. Everyone knows “moving well, eating well and resting well” is important for being healthy, but he believes “Doing simple things is the hardest thing to do”. Therefore, he is passionate about helping patients to achieve a new aspect of health.

Born and raised in Singapore, Kae completed her Doctor of Chiropractic (not medical doctor) studies at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto, Canada. Right after graduation in 2011, she moved to Helsinki, Finland to practice for 2 years and used the opportunity to travel Europe. She moved back to Canada after and started her own clinic. Kae practices diversified spinal adjusting, in conjunction with soft tissue therapy and the use of modalities such as laser therapy.

Poonam is a highly accomplished physiotherapist with a robust educational background and extensive professional experience. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences in Bangalore, India, in 2002. Following this, she pursued a Master’s degree at the University of Otago, New Zealand, earning her degree in 2004. Her academic journey continued as she received a scholarship from the Vernon Willey Trust Fellowship and the Health Research Council of New Zealand, enabling her to complete a PhD titled “Cumulative Loads on the Lumbar Spine During Wool Harvesting” in 2010.

Poonam specializes in managing spinal conditions through both operative and conservative care, focusing on acute conditions in the A&E department and continuing care at outpatient clinics. She has developed a keen interest in chronic pain management, which led her to become a certified yoga teacher in March 2021. Poonam also has experience in sports coverage for para-athletes, having covered the Dubai Para Athletics Championship in 2019.

Her commitment to continuous professional development is evident through her completion of the McKenzie Lumbar Spine Part A course in August 2021, and her incorporation of DMA clinical pilates principles into rehabilitation practices.

Since transitioning to the private sector in January 2022, Poonam has remained passionate about clinical services, integrating principles from clinical yoga, bio-psychosocial approaches, and specialized rehabilitation techniques into her practice. She keeps up to date by attending courses and attending conferences in the region and overseas. She has also recently received accolades like the Outstanding Physiotherapist Award – Private Sector 2024 from the Singapore Physiotherapy Association. She is currently serving as a scientific co-chair for the upcoming 10th Association of Southeast Asian Pain Societies Congress to be held in May 2025. Jenn started her journey as a physiotherapist in 2001 where she won a scholarship to study physiotherapy at Nanyang Polytechnic. Upon graduation, she worked at Changi General Hospital in various disciplines, including the sports medicine centre that started her interest to specialise in sports related musculoskeletal conditions.

She then joined Singapore Sports School as their resident physiotherapist, where she managed youth athletes, many whom are in the national squad. Other than injury management at the school clinic, she also traveled with them as team physiotherapist. Her other roles at the school included crafting sports specific musculoskeletal screening, which she and her team conducted during pre and post-season to screen for potential injury risk factors. She also ran practical classes for the student athletes with topics ranging from recovery techniques to taping.

Being a firm believer in lifelong learning, she returned to school in 2011 and graduated with Masters of Clinical Physiotherapy from Curtin University. She is also a clinical pilates instructor.

Xin Ning graduated from the Physiotherapy programme at Singapore Institute of Technology - Trinity College of Dublin with a Bachelor of Science with Honours (Distinction). Having a sporting background, Xin Ning developed a special interest in Pain Management and Sports Injury Recovery. An athlete in Track and Field, she specialised in the Throwing events of Shot Put and Discus. These days, Xin Ning has a special interest in Sports Climbing.

Having completed her clinical placements at Singapore Sports Medicine Centre (Changi) and Outpatient Orthopaedic Rehabilitation Centre at Singapore General Hospital, Xin Ning was exposed to a multitude of Post-Operative and Musculoskeletal conditions.

Jeremy has a keen interest in musculoskeletal physiotherapy. He started his physiotherapy journey in hospital and gradually developed his interest in musculoskeletal and sports injury during his worked at Jurong Health Campus. With over 6 years of clinical experience in hospital and outpatient physiotherapy clinics, he has developed vast experience in seeing orthopaedic cases involving lower quadrant such as lower back, hip, knee, ankle and foot joint. During his tenure in hospital, he managed to see multiple post operation cases such as hip and knee replacement, ACL reconstruction cases, and ATFL injury that requires Brostrom procedure.

Knowing that hand and wrist is a complex joint as it involved multiple ligaments and small muscles, Jeremy has developed special passion in managing cases for hand and wrist joint such as trigger finger, triangular fibrocartilage complex (TFCC) injury and carpal tunnel syndrome. He believes that adequate manual therapy and tailored physiotherapy management program are important to deliver to patients in order to reduce the risk of recurrent injury.

Overall, Jeremy is dedicated in tailoring a comprehensive physiotherapy plan to help clients achieve their goals. Being passionate in manual therapy, Jeremy believes that the effects of manual therapy are able to supplement joint mobility and muscle flexibility and thus restoring functional movement.
